Principal Engineer for Test Systems Development

AVL North America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing test systems that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop test systems that meet customer requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
- 3-5+ years of experience in test systems design and development
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering)
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer equations
- Proficiency in the use of chemistry and thermodynamic equations
- Experience with dew point curves, air movement, calibration analysis, duct sizing for pressure losses, chemical balance equations
- Knowledge of Fourier transform spectroscopy
- Automotive experience, particularly in combustion engine systems or chemistry
- Familiarity with ISO 9003 and ISO 17025 standards
- Masters degree in engineering
- Experience with CAD and engineering tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks)
- Knowledge of SAP, EPDM
- Relational skills and ability to work effectively with customers and team members
