Mobis North America LLC, a prominent Tier one supplier and Mobility organization, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to spearhead the development of Electronic Brake System Products tailored for OEM Applications across the North American market.

Key Responsibilities:

As a technical leader, you will take ownership of projects focused on the design, development, and adaptation of electronic brake components and systems for both new and existing OEM customer applications.

  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of electronic brake system technologies, including Vacuumless Boosters and Electro-Mechanical Braking systems.
  • Serve as the technical lead for projects, gathering and analyzing all pertinent technical information, addressing customer technical inquiries, and collaborating with various departments as necessary.
  • Establish the system strategy for integrating new and existing electronic brake components into diverse OEM electrical architectures and applications.
  • Work closely with project management, global software teams, design engineers, and testing engineers to set development milestones and ensure the successful integration of system validation to meet those milestones.
  • Provide solutions for system-related project challenges, both internally and with customers, by leading root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present materials to support new program proposals and during various project development phases to effectively communicate relevant information.
  • Adhere to established procedures and work instructions while contributing to the enhancement of these guidelines for electronic brake design.
  • Collaborate in the design and development of testing procedures; suggest and implement improvements to testing equipment, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Manage multiple applications concurrently, ensuring all required functions are performed efficiently.
  • Report progress, outcomes, and results to management and stakeholders, measuring against established targets and metrics.
  • Travel may be required locally, domestically, and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
  • Participate in globally hosted meetings as needed.
  • This position allows for a home office work arrangement.
  • Reports directly to the Manager of Brake Engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design within the automotive sector.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing electronic braking components and systems for the automotive industry.
  • Strong grasp of design principles encompassing electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, physics, kinematics, and materials science.
Preferred Skills:
  • Innovative thinking and a commitment to creative problem-solving.
  • Experience with various problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using commercial design and analysis tools.
  • Experience in negotiations with OEM management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
