Senior HR Generalist - A Key Role in Driving Business Success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to management and associates on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, including those related to employment, labor, and benefits.
  • Regularly review and analyze HR activity reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.
  • Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, and provide assistance and implement HR initiatives.
  • Review and process requests for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and present HR-related topics and other HR-related training.
  • Act as the diversity champion by leading assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities, including diversity recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.
  • Assist in the creation of Personal Development Plans, as appropriate, for associates.
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
  • Three plus years human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus.
  • HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization required.
  • Previous experience as part of a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.
  • Content-knowledge regarding employment law, policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Experience in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Training certification a plus (i.e., Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey, etc.).
