Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resource Team at Great Gray, LLC. The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in providing comprehensive HR support to the entire Great Gray team.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar HR role. They will be responsible for administering employee benefit programs, processing bi-weekly payroll, and developing and implementing HR programs.

The Senior HR Generalist will work closely with the Head of HR to ensure the smooth operation of HR functions and will be responsible for managing a high volume of data and requests. They will also be expected to liaise with all levels of the organization and to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. They will also have a proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all new employee onboarding and offboarding for 2 companies.
  • Process data changes in HRIS (ADP Workforce Now). Manage HRIS data integrity.
  • Administer employee benefit programs and serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Support Bi-weekly Payroll processing for 2 companies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of HR reports and analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various HR projects and initiatives.
  • Manage HR SharePoint site.
  • Support new goal setting and performance management system, Lattice, implementation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • As a member of the HR team, you are expected to set an example for other employees by modeling our company policies and procedures, including work hours and office attendance.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • 5 years minimum experience in a similar HR role, with demonstrated expertise in HR operations, benefits administration, systems and compliance.
  • Payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment preferred.
  • Experience working directly with an HR leader and able to effectively manage up.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software (ADP Workforce Now) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
