Job Summary:

The Entity Finance Officer is a key member of the Texas Health Resources senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hospital. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management, leadership, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure the hospital's financial viability.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage a team of financial professionals, including accountants, analysts, and administrative staff.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the hospital's goals and objectives.
  • Matrix Management: Oversee the financial operations of multiple departments, including supply chain management, business services, and compliance.
  • Community Relations: Represent the hospital and Texas Health Resources in community agencies and organizations, promoting the hospital's mission and values.
  • Mentoring and Development: Provide guidance and support to direct reports, including professional development and training plans.
  • Patient and Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that patient and customer needs are met through regular surveys and measurements, and develop action plans to improve satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent required; MBA or Master's Degree in Hospital Administration preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of increasingly responsible financial management and leadership positions in a healthcare or related organization.
  • Skills: Strong financial management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and lead a diverse group of people. Proven track record of success in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and be resourceful. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, medical staff, and other stakeholders.
