Position Overview
As a Strategic Operations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief of Air Force Reserve and the Director of Legislative Liaison within the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. This position is essential for providing comprehensive planning, strategic direction, and execution of policies that govern the Air Force Reserve Command.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Policy Integration**: You will synchronize and integrate various policies, plans, and procedures while addressing cross-functional issues. This includes serving as a primary communication link between Department of the Air Force entities and legislative bodies.

2. **Resource Management Evaluation**: Assess the management of resources and evaluate the operational capabilities of assigned units. Identify challenges that hinder mission effectiveness and provide data-driven recommendations for corrective actions.

3. **Advisory Role**: Act as the Special Assistant to the AFRC Commander, offering expert guidance on Congressional engagement activities related to Reserve organizations.

4. **Strategic Representation**: Represent the AFRC Commander at high-level meetings and conferences, ensuring effective communication of the Air Force's missions and initiatives to key stakeholders.

5. **Policy Development**: Stay informed about policy decisions from higher authorities that impact assigned programs. Recommend initiatives and special projects that align with strategic goals.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. This includes:
- Mastery of strategic planning concepts and analytical techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of the Air Force Reserve Command structure and its operational missions.
- Proven leadership and managerial skills necessary for effective team direction and negotiation.

Additional Information
This position requires a commitment to the Air Force Reserve's mission and responsibilities. Candidates must be willing to relocate as necessary and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance. The role may involve occasional travel and participation in training assemblies.
