Position Summary
As a Lead Financial Strategist within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organization towards sustainable growth and superior financial performance. This position is crucial for both immediate and long-term financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. The Lead Financial Strategist will leverage analytical skills to discern patterns in healthcare technology data, thereby influencing financial predictions. This role demands a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Evaluation: Engage in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators, conduct budget versus actual variance analyses, perform financial statement assessments, and identify significant trends and business drivers.
- Financial Reporting: Generate ongoing management reports for executive leadership and internal stakeholders; compile and synthesize data to create comprehensive reports on financial health and risks, and effectively communicate findings to senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Provide analytical support to the FP&A Director, including financial statement evaluations, gross margin assessments, business performance insights, forecasting, trend analysis, and strategic planning.
- Financial Systems Management: Innovate and automate key processes using Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project, implementing solutions that adhere to best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis and Investment Support: Act as a financial expert on critical projects, conducting capital budgeting assessments (NPV, ROI, IRR).
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years in progressively responsible finance roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- High competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in developing dynamic financial and operational models.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify business trends.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA.
- Experience in healthcare technology.
- Familiarity with VBA, Power Query, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility to work remotely while also utilizing office spaces for collaboration as needed.
