- Utilize DBC Finance software proficiently across a variety of municipal bond structures.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and generate detailed cash flow projections for intricate financing plans and client borrowing programs using advanced debt structuring methods and financing strategies.
- Develop and manage Excel spreadsheets to analyze financial data and create financing scenarios; evaluate different financing alternatives to identify optimal borrowing solutions for clients.
- Lead the identification and assessment of refinancing opportunities, including conducting sensitivity analyses and risk evaluations as necessary.
- Oversee the tracking of debt portfolios for existing clients and key prospects.
- Employ Excel, Visual Basic, and macros to enhance modeling and quantitative analysis efficiency.
- Construct, execute, and refine complex quantitative models; facilitate capital markets transactions; review legal documents to ensure alignment with financial plans and modeling.
- Support marketing and proposal initiatives by developing financial analyses for potential client solutions.
- Create financial and credit profiles for both current and prospective clients.
- Master and model the criteria set by all three credit rating agencies for various sectors, including water and sewer revenue bonds and local government criteria.
- Prepare presentations for rating agency communications, client interactions, and marketing efforts, emphasizing quantitative aspects of the deliverables.
- Organize, prioritize, and schedule tasks for each client project and/or financing transaction.
- Collaborate effectively with team members who may have varying levels of in-office presence and may be based in different locations.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with financial advisory clients, primarily public agencies.
- Facilitate information flow among staff, clients, and project managers.
- Complete assignments promptly and communicate progress regularly with internal teams.
- Develop and present reports and other materials, including financial analyses, during meetings with internal staff and clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two years of experience in public sector or municipal finance.
- Experience in executing financial transactions from inception to completion, including complex financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
- MSRB Series 50 certification or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe after hiring.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, prospects, external partners, and colleagues.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with DBC Finance is required.
- Prior experience in writing and developing macros in Excel to automate models is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong teamwork and project execution skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring timely completion and appropriate follow-up.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a specialized financial field.
