Job Title: Benefits Analyst

At TBC Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Analyst to join our team. As a Benefits Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day administration of our company's compensation and health and welfare programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and monitor electronic data transmissions for external welfare plan vendors, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Provide benefit orientations and assist employees with insurance-related inquiries, ensuring seamless support and communication.
  • Resolve errors associated with data transmission files and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot benefits technical issues related to the ESS/MSS portal, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Document, analyze, and perform necessary testing of computer programs, third-party software, and reporting for benefit programs, serving as the Benefit Department's point person for software modifications.
  • Assist in developing job descriptions and job classification processes to ensure consistency throughout the organization, participating in benchmarking of all job descriptions.
  • Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor impact and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a point of contact for auditors and assist with data extraction and related audits for benefits and compensation.
  • Support the Retirement Plans Manager in 401(k) Plan reconciliation and funding processes.
  • Manage and generate various benefit reports, ensuring timely and accurate data.
  • Administer the Tuition Reimbursement Program and assist in responding to information requests from the 401(k) Plan record keeper.
  • Enter Associate benefit enrollment data into HRIS when necessary and create files for new hires, maintaining active and terminated files.
  • Assist with the annual enrollment process and investigate and respond to Qualified Medical Support Orders.
  • Provide backup support for the leave management program, including short-term disability payments in partnership with payroll and third-party administrators.
  • Respond to benefit inquiries from managers and Associates on plan provisions, benefit enrollment, status changes, and general inquiries.
  • Support Benefit Department communications, ensuring timely fulfillment of monthly benefit communications to newly eligible Associates and those transitioning in change of status.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field of study and a minimum of 3 years' experience in benefits administration.
  • Ability to understand and respond appropriately to requests, using independent judgment to take appropriate action and/or provide information.
  • Working knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, ERISA, Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA).
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated quantitative, critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • HRIS experience and report writing experience required; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Experience with file integration with outside service providers.
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
