Independent Living Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a designated caseload, ensuring regular interactions with clients while maintaining thorough and current clinical documentation.
  • Utilize a client-focused methodology to provide necessary services and referrals for individuals facing homelessness.
  • Address conflicts and manage difficult behaviors, prioritizing client independence and safety.
  • Support clients in developing essential daily living skills for effective independent living.
  • Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and care plans.
  • Accompany clients to appointments as necessary.
  • Engage in collaborative team meetings and case discussions.
  • Administer emergency first aid and CPR when required.
  • Perform additional related tasks as needed.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours weekly
  • Thursday to Saturday, 8 AM to 9:30 PM
  • Monday to Wednesday, 8 AM to 9:30 PM

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, with a Bachelor's Degree being preferred. Experience working with homeless populations is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. CPR certification is essential.
