Independent Living Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a designated client caseload, ensuring regular interactions and maintaining thorough and current client records and documentation.
  • Utilize a client-focused methodology to provide essential services and referrals for individuals facing homelessness.
  • Address conflicts and manage difficult behaviors while prioritizing client independence and safety.
  • Support clients in developing essential daily living skills to achieve successful independent living.
  • Conduct initial assessments, evaluations, and necessary documentation including progress reports and care plans.
  • Accompany clients to necessary appointments as required.
  • Engage in collaborative team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide emergency first aid and CPR support as needed.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
  • Thursday to Saturday, 8:00 AM - 9:30 PM
  • Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 9:30 PM

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Experience working with homeless populations is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary. CPR certification is mandatory.
