Independent Living Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a designated client portfolio, ensuring regular interactions and maintaining comprehensive and current client records and documentation.
  • Utilize a client-focused methodology to assist individuals, offering services and referrals to meet the needs of those facing homelessness.
  • Address conflicts and difficult behaviors, prioritizing client independence and safety.
  • Support clients in developing essential daily living skills to promote successful independent living.
  • Conduct initial assessments, evaluations, and necessary documentation, including progress reports and care plans.
  • Accompany clients to necessary appointments as required.
  • Engage in collaborative team discussions and case reviews.
  • Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary.
  • Perform additional related tasks as needed.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours weekly
  • Thursday to Saturday, 8 AM to 9:30 PM
  • Monday to Wednesday, 8 AM to 9:30 PM

Required Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, with a Bachelor's Degree being advantageous. Experience working with homeless populations is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential. CPR certification is required.
