Position Title: Construction Manager

HHS Construction, a leader in the telecommunications and engineering sector, is seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee our wireless and engineering projects. Our mission is to design and construct robust broadband and wireless communication infrastructures that support essential services across various industries, including healthcare, energy, and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operational activities to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards for splicing.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary tools and equipment for technicians, while adhering to engineered blueprints and monitoring production metrics.
  • Address and resolve any complaints from property owners in designated areas.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fiber splicing professionals.
  • Manage and supervise the work of splicing teams and subcontracted resources.
  • Review field documentation related to splicing and testing, identify any deficiencies, and ensure timely corrections.
  • Complete and approve daily production reports, update maps, track work hours, and finalize as-built and closeout documentation.
  • Verify the accuracy of submitted daily production reports for billing purposes.
  • Reconcile daily issued parts and materials to maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Conduct quality control inspections of work performed by employees and subcontractors.
  • Uphold and enforce compliance with company, federal, and state regulations, including non-discriminatory practices and payroll guidelines.
  • Administer corrective actions and maintain documentation for employee performance issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple internal and subcontracted resources with relevant experience in fiber splicing.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Telecom/CATV construction field and prior supervisory roles in construction or related areas.
  • Capability to perform necessary equipment installations, including enclosures and termination panels.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing between 40 to 90 pounds.
  • Maintain visual and audible contact with team members and surrounding objects for safe operations.
  • Operate or navigate around heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as necessary.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands for handling, and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to work at different job sites as needed.
  • Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours and report on time.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Exercise diligence in driving safely and securing company vehicles.
  • Ability to work while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
