As a seasoned Track Foreman at RailWorks Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by managing and directing a crew of workers. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations on assigned projects, ensuring that proper resources are in place for timely completion of work.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective project plans, including safety action plans, to ensure compliance with corporate and project goals.
- Review and ensure adherence to project documentation, plans, and specifications to guarantee high-quality work.
- Plan and coordinate the deployment of labor, tools, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate crew performance, taking corrective action as necessary to ensure alignment with company goals and policies.
- Conduct daily briefings with the crew to review production goals, performance feedback, safety, and schedule, and solicit feedback from workers.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, modeling safe work practices, providing education, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that proper safety equipment is available and used by all field personnel.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate work and goals.
- Train and motivate workers to achieve optimal performance.
- Perform administrative tasks, including production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and updating project files.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Track Foreman or equivalent.
- Knowledge of track construction and maintenance principles.
- Ability to read and understand project-specific documents, including schedules, standard railway plans, and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Work outdoors at construction sites.
- Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, lift, bend, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Exposed to loud noise and potential hazards.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
