Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, including safety action plans, to ensure compliance with corporate and project goals.
  • Review and ensure adherence to project documentation, plans, and specifications to guarantee high-quality work.
  • Plan and coordinate the deployment of labor, tools, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate crew performance, taking corrective action as necessary to ensure alignment with company goals and policies.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the crew to review production goals, performance feedback, safety, and schedule, and solicit feedback from workers.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, modeling safe work practices, providing education, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that proper safety equipment is available and used by all field personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate work and goals.
  • Train and motivate workers to achieve optimal performance.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and updating project files.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Track Foreman or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of track construction and maintenance principles.
  • Ability to read and understand project-specific documents, including schedules, standard railway plans, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Working Conditions
  • Work outdoors at construction sites.
  • Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, lift, bend, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Exposed to loud noise and potential hazards.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
