Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and welcoming Receptionist to serve as the initial point of contact for our early childhood facility, which encompasses child development and mental health services. This role requires a collaborative spirit to foster the overall well-being of the children we support through comprehensive daily programs aimed at promoting healthy development.

Compensation: $15.50/hr

Work Schedule: Part-time mornings from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations

  • Manage front desk responsibilities including answering phones and welcoming visitors.
  • Ensure a comfortable and safe environment in the lobby and waiting areas.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, including visitor check-ins and temperature screenings.
  • Oversee the sign-in process for visitors and specialized therapists.
  • Order and maintain office and classroom supplies while assisting staff with clerical tasks as necessary.
  • Handle incoming faxes and scanned documents, distributing them appropriately.
  • Assist with mail processing, including metering outgoing mail and managing incoming deliveries.
  • Submit Helpdesk tickets for building maintenance as required.

Child Development Center Assistance

  • Conduct daily attendance checks and report data accurately.
  • Support data entry and communication related to facility management.
  • Provide coverage for breaks or classroom needs as necessary.
  • Assist the Business Office with fee collection processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and meal counts as directed.
  • Help plan and organize events such as Teacher Recognition Week.
  • Collect and input Parent satisfaction surveys using digital tools.

Mental Health Services Coordination

  • Contact new therapy referrals to schedule assessments and manage consent documentation.
  • Provide clinicians with weekly reports to ensure data quality and timely updates to health records.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients on the waitlist regarding their status.
  • Support clinical staff with necessary client communications.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of one year of administrative experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • All candidates must pass a drug screening and an extensive background check.
