Position Overview

The Safety Compliance Specialist is responsible for executing assigned preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a safe working environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background required
  • Experience with hazardous materials
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication abilities
  • Attention to detail, effective time management, and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical skills and understanding
  • Associate's degree is advantageous
  • Experience in industrial or semiconductor settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavior-based safety observations and provide training to staff and management to promote safety and operational integrity.
  • Lead regular safety audits, risk assessments, and equipment inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Facilitate the adoption of safe work practices and effective safety methodologies; conduct quarterly safety drills to enhance safety awareness.
  • Drive injury prevention initiatives focusing on unsafe behaviors and instilling safety as a core value among all personnel.
  • Perform accident investigations, identify root causes, and suggest corrective and preventive measures.
  • Participate in daily briefings and weekly safety meetings.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to safety and operational integrity to all employees.
  • Maintain current knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations at all government levels and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with teams.
  • Ensure adherence to the Safety Work Permits (SWP) Program for vendor-controlled systems, ensuring safety protocols are followed before any work commences.
  • Empowered to halt operations if safety guidelines are not adhered to.
