About the Role

Cadence McShane Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe construction of our projects in the Central Texas area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide EHS Leadership: Offer guidance and support to project teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations: Understand and communicate changes in federal, state, and local regulations that impact our projects.
  • Implement EHS Procedures: Develop and implement EHS procedures, programs, and systems at the site level.
  • Conduct Health and Safety Training: Provide training to site personnel on EHS procedures and protocols.
  • Manage Project Safety Audits: Conduct and manage project safety audits to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Develop Knowledge Base: Assist project management in developing a knowledge base for site compliance.
  • Coordinate EHS Solutions: Work with all levels of the company to determine EHS solutions for business issues.
  • Maintain EHS Reporting: Maintain computerized EHS reporting processes.
  • Investigate Incidents: Facilitate the conduct of incident investigations and assist with the development of corrective actions.
  • Drive EHS Culture Change: Serve as a leader in driving EHS culture change at the site.
  • Participate in Safety Committee: Serve as a key member of the Safety Committee to develop best practice reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years' experience in construction safety.
  • OSHA Training: OSHA 30-hour training required.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with clients, owners, project professionals, and field and office staff.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership skills to direct field staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to proactively identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and project software.
