Position Overview:
United Nissan is in search of a dedicated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to enhance our financial team.

The Accounting Supervisor will play a crucial role in supporting management through the direct oversight of accounting functions and the general ledger segment of our operations.

This position involves collaborating with management to provide insights and recommendations for the development and maintenance of accounting standards, practices, and procedures to ensure precise and timely financial closing, reporting, and variance analysis.

Primary Duties:
50% - Team Leadership

Foster a mission-driven environment focused on high-quality performance, emphasizing customer service, consistency, dignity, and accountability.


Assist the team in fulfilling departmental responsibilities and collaborate with colleagues to align with both short- and long-term departmental objectives.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury functions, and other ad hoc responsibilities.

Supervise, mentor, and set performance goals for direct reports.


Support management in evaluating and analyzing departmental workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining accuracy.

45% - Financial Program Support

Utilize a comprehensive understanding of United Nissan's policies, general ledger structures, and financial reporting.

Review and authorize journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and audit-related documentation.

Assist management in interpreting monthly financial reports and variance analyses.

Guide staff on the management of complex accounting transactions.

Coordinate with various departments to validate report data and resolve outstanding issues.

Manage relationships with external entities such as regulatory agencies, service providers, and vendors.

Assist management with financial audits and compliance requirements.

5% - Additional Responsibilities

Undertake other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:


A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. A combination of education and experience that effectively fulfills the essential duties of the role may also be considered.

At least 1 year of senior or lead experience is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisory role.

Background in finance or accounting within a managed care or healthcare environment.

Knowledge & Skills:


Ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, staff, and external contacts from diverse backgrounds.

Demonstrate independence and sound judgment.

Exhibit clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.

Adapt to a flexible schedule, including participation in evening and weekend events.

Possess strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and fostering collaboration.
Work Environment:
Work is typically conducted indoors and may involve sedentary tasks, subject to variable hours and occasional travel as necessary. The noise level in this environment is generally moderate.
