Position Overview:
United Nissan is looking for a dedicated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to enhance our financial team.

The Accounting Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing accounting functions and the general ledger operations within the department.

This position involves collaborating with management to ensure adherence to accounting standards, providing insights, and making recommendations to uphold accurate and timely financial reporting and variance analysis.

Essential Duties:
50% - Leadership and Oversight

Foster a culture of excellence and customer service within the team.

Support departmental goals by collaborating with team members and ensuring efficient execution of responsibilities.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury functions, and other related tasks.

Supervise, mentor, and set performance objectives for team members.

Assist in evaluating departmental workflows to enhance efficiency while maintaining accuracy.

45% - Financial Analysis and Reporting

Utilize a comprehensive understanding of accounting policies, general ledger frameworks, and financial statements.

Review and authorize journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and audit schedules.

Assist in analyzing financial reports and variance explanations.

Guide staff on complex accounting transactions.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure data integrity and resolve outstanding issues.

Manage relationships with external entities such as regulatory agencies and vendors.

Support management during financial audits and compliance checks.

5% - Additional Duties

Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:


A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience may also be considered.

At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisory role.

Background in finance or accounting within a managed care or healthcare environment.

Ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making skills.

Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Adapt to a flexible work schedule as needed.

Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Manage multiple projects efficiently and identify collaboration opportunities.

Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and job-specific applications.

Work Environment:
Work is primarily conducted indoors in a standard office setting, with occasional travel as required. The role may involve varying noise levels and conditions depending on the specific location of duties.
