Position Overview:

The Asset Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that properties align with the financial, social, and environmental objectives of the organization. This role involves revising property business plans for each asset under management, ensuring alignment with initial investment goals, and making necessary updates at least annually based on property strategy, performance, and market conditions.

The Asset Supervisor will collaborate with property management to review financials monthly and provide performance reports quarterly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee financial operations of properties, including business plan development, budget guidance, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Conduct variance analysis and monitor reporting processes to evaluate performance against established budgets.
  • Manage partner and investor inquiries, ensuring proper documentation and record maintenance.
  • Coordinate with property management teams to enhance operational performance.
  • Conduct property visits regularly.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare year-end audit information and coordinate with external accounting firms.
  • Review financial statements and tax returns, ensuring compliance with engagement requirements.
  • Draft comprehensive reports by synthesizing data from various sources for internal and external stakeholders.

Meetings & Special Projects:

  • Participate in meetings, providing support to senior management as needed.
  • Assist with special projects, including addressing HUD issues and researching partnership documents.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Analyze and distribute cash flow from properties in accordance with partnership agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in Business or Real Estate is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in asset management within the affordable housing sector.
