Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy in coding timesheets and invoices.
  • Assist project management in budget preparation and forecasting, identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Provide accurate weekly and monthly reports on work completed.
  • Review contract specifications and documents to perform precise takeoffs.
  • Update construction forecasts to reflect the most current cost and estimate data.
  • Collaborate with various departments to supply cost data for subcontractor change requests and expenditure control.
  • Support change order and estimating tasks as required.
  • May mentor junior staff in the area of responsibility.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or related cost/estimating roles.
  • Proficient in resource monitoring and control techniques, including cost accounting and budget analysis.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards, with knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and motivation.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with JDE, Prolog, and Microsoft Office Suite.
