Tax Compliance Supervisor

Kemper CPA Group LLP, a prominent public accounting firm, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Tax Manager. This position is available in a flexible work environment, allowing for either fully onsite or hybrid schedules.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax management role or equivalent supervisory experience within a regional or national public accounting firm.
Successful applicants will demonstrate a deep understanding of current tax practices and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with clients, as well as manage and mentor staff throughout all phases of tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, local, and specialized tax returns by gathering, analyzing, and organizing financial data.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations; provide management with actionable insights; liaise with partners, staff, clients, and tax authorities to guarantee timely and precise tax reporting.
- Compile and review financial statements, reports, and records by analyzing and summarizing relevant information and trends.
- Maintain professional standards and enhance technical knowledge through continuous education, including workshops and seminars.
- Contribute to the firm’s success by promoting efficient execution of engagements while fostering positive client relationships.
- Engage in professional, civic, or charitable organizations to promote the firm.
- Manage a designated portfolio of clients within budgeted revenue expectations.
- Develop and mentor junior staff members.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a CPA designation with at least 5 years of tax experience in a supervisory role within a public accounting environment.
- Exhibit the ability to coordinate staff and client expectations through effective planning and communication.
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing project budgets and staff assignments.
- Showcase strong technology skills that aid in completing assignments efficiently.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients and staff in a professional manner.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Compensation and Benefits:

Additional compensation includes bonuses and incentives for new business. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, which varies based on full-time or part-time status.
