Position Overview:

The Finance Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities of various third-party manufacturing facilities engaged in bottling and distillation for Diageo India. This position encompasses responsibilities related to fund management, vendor oversight, month-end financial reporting, audit support, cost tracking, and ensuring compliance with SOX regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support to business and operational teams during periodic reviews.
  • Drive insights and manage productivity initiatives within the manufacturing units.
  • Facilitate the Quarterly Financial Review with the Finance Cohort Lead, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of manufacturing finance metrics.
  • Assist in establishing rates with third-party vendors through cost validation and negotiation strategies.
  • Monitor funding requirements for distillation processes and ensure efficient fund rotation.
  • Oversee vendor payment processes, including goods receipt notes, bill processing, and reconciliations.
  • Analyze operational waste and cost components to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Participate in balance sheet reviews and ensure timely completion of financial actions.
  • Manage necessary entries for amortization, licensing fees, and market incentives.
  • Ensure the timely release of daily purchase order claims.
  • Lead the governance of capital expenditure processes and project reviews.
  • Compile and report on manufacturing, inventory, and other financial metrics to headquarters.
  • Support statutory and internal audits, as well as tax compliance efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation of unit budgets.
  • Champion a robust financial control environment and support compliance audits.
  • Contribute to the development of governance and risk management frameworks to enhance overall performance.
  • Encourage proactive measures to mitigate business risks.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • CA/MBA in Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in managing financial control systems and data.
  • Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and formulate coherent strategies for improvement.
  • Effective decision-making and communication skills.
