About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our nursing unit, you will provide administrative and technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the nursing unit, including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to develop and implement unit policies and procedures.
  • Assist with patient care coordination, including communication with families and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts and medical histories.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing unit.
  • Training in medical terminology and healthcare software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
