Key Responsibilities:
~ Conduct thorough reviews and processing of medical claims to ensure accuracy and completeness.
~ Verify patient billing information and resolve any inconsistencies.
~ Generate and submit insurance claims to payers in a timely manner.
~ Follow up on outstanding or denied claims and manage appeals as necessary.
~ Assist patients with billing inquiries and help them understand their medical statements.
~ Stay informed about the latest medical billing codes, regulations, and compliance standards.
~ Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to address billing challenges.
~ Maintain and update patient billing records as required.
Qualifications:
~ Proven experience as a Healthcare Billing Coordinator in a medical environment.
~ Strong knowledge of billing and coding procedures.
~ Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
~ Excellent mathematical and data entry capabilities.
~ Familiarity with insurance claim submission processes and payer requirements.
This position reports to the Billing Manager.
