About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Medical Unit Coordinator at Providence Hood River Hospital. This is a full-time, day shift position with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a high-functioning team to advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients.
  • Assist RNs with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
  • Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
Requirements
  • Training in a recognized healthcare program.
  • 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare.
  • Medical terminology course.
  • Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course.
  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
