Role Purpose:
The Medical Records Assistant or an individual with equivalent clinical training will undertake various responsibilities within the office, ranging from patient intake to assisting in patient care. This role involves ensuring the efficient triage and management of patient flow to healthcare providers. Under general supervision in an outpatient clinical environment, the individual will deliver exceptional customer service, conduct initial patient assessments, assist with direct patient care, and perform routine medical procedures as per established clinical protocols and provider instructions. We are open to training a motivated individual who aligns with our practice's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and foster relationships.
- Stay informed about company policies and healthcare regulations.
- Gather patient histories and maintain updated patient records.
- Communicate normal test results to patients.
- Ensure cleanliness in workspaces and patient examination rooms.
- Execute routine procedures following established protocols, including:
- EKG
- Immunizations
- Ear lavage
- Sterile dressing changes
- Nebulizer treatments
- Suture removals
- Administer immunizations and therapeutic injections.
- Maintain adequate inventory of examination room supplies.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Perform any additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Understanding of company policies and healthcare regulations.
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of office procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to professionally greet patients and manage phone inquiries.
- Capability to build and maintain effective working relationships with providers, patients, and the public.
- Time management skills.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and error correction.
- Ability to maintain productivity and work independently.
Working Conditions:
This role requires extended periods of sitting or standing.
