Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) to join our team at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. As a CNA 2, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a high-functioning team and advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients.
  • Assist RNs with admissions, discharges, and transfers, and measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests, and assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
  • Collaborate with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit.
Requirements
  • Training in a recognized healthcare program or equivalent education/experience.
  • 1 year of experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare or equivalent knowledge.
  • Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
  • Coursework/training in medical terminology, completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course, and Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Experience with a variety of software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of post-high school education.
  • Satisfactory completion of Health Unit Coordinator course or equivalent education/experience.
  • National Certification Health Unit Coordinator upon hire.
  • Experience as a preceptor/role model.
  • 1 year of experience as a CNA 2.
