VSolvit is in search of a SharePoint Solutions Engineer at the Mid – Sr. Level to provide support for our DISA Client.

We deliver dependable Engineering and Analytical support services, specializing in Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Our mission is to facilitate a variety of operational applications, collaborative efforts, business intelligence, and workflow processes.

Our dedicated team manages, maintains, integrates, and enhances multiple SharePoint and CRM environments.

We assess and optimize existing content and customizations within the SharePoint production farms, aiming for a seamless transition to next-generation environments.


Role Responsibilities

As a SharePoint Solutions Engineer at the Mid – Sr. Level, you will leverage advanced SharePoint technologies to provide optimal solutions for our clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, configuring systems, performing upgrades, and implementing changes to maintain the SharePoint/CRM environments. An Interim Secret Clearance is a prerequisite for this role. This position is Hybrid, requiring both remote work and occasional onsite presence as needed.

In addition to standard responsibilities, you are expected to adhere to regular working hours, meet deadlines, follow company policies, maintain daily communication with supervisors, and remain focused on assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide tier 3 technical support for on-premise SharePoint & CRM environments.
- Offer on-call support for critical incidents and outages outside standard work hours as necessary.
- Troubleshoot, manage, and configure IIS and SharePoint infrastructure.

- Assist in troubleshooting systems, including but not limited to OS, SQL, Trellix (HBSS), networking, firewall, and other components essential for a fully operational SharePoint/CRM farm.

- Ensure security compliance of all servers by:
- Regular patching
- Applying STIGS as necessary (Ensure current STIG checklists are updated and validate when new STIGs are released by DISA for SharePoint systems).
- Collaborate closely with the SharePoint Architect to ensure enterprise infrastructure designs comply with DOD security requirements.
- Address IAVA findings for SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.

- Install, configure, and maintain on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.
- Support upgrades and migrations for SharePoint & CRM.
- Contribute to Weekly and Monthly Reports.
- Submit and track Change Requests, Incidents & Work Orders in ServiceNow (SNOW) as needed and collaborate with Service Partners for resolution.
- Participate in Change Board meetings as required.
- Provide ADHOC infrastructure-related reports as needed.
- Maintain and periodically review internal Engineering assets, such as master server lists and script repositories.
- Ensure supporting infrastructure documentation is up to date.
- Track application-level certificates for all SharePoint/CRM farms on NIPR/SIPR.
- Collaborate with the custom development team to deploy solutions to on-prem SharePoint/CRM farms.

Basic Qualifications

- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and resolve issues.
- 5+ years of infrastructure/system engineering experience.
- Proficiency with SharePoint 2013, 2016, & 2019.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online and CRM systems.
- General experience with CRM/Platform/Server configuration.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, group policy, LAN/WAN, IP addresses, and SQL server administration.
- Troubleshooting experience with SharePoint or related technical issues.
- Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Microsoft or FedVTE certification focused on Server OS, SharePoint, or CRM.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through additional certifications.
- Applicants selected will undergo a government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
- Experience with Migration Tools such as AvePoint DocAve, Fly.
- Familiarity with O365 services and migrations.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Ability to support a Dynamics Office 365 environment (on-premise).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk).
- Background in disaster recovery efforts for IT.
- Cyber Security Technical Engineering Support for SharePoint.
- SQL Server experience is highly preferred.
- Interim Secret Clearance is required.
