We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer III to support the Marine Corps Systems Command, focusing on Program Manager Intelligence Systems.

The Senior Systems Engineer will assist in the research, development, acquisition, and maintenance of cutting-edge tactical intelligence collection, processing, and dissemination equipment, as well as ground electronic warfare (EW) systems.

This role involves executing engineering tasks throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in the research and development of advanced hardware and software solutions to meet current and emerging requirements.
  • Support acquisition efforts by developing technical requirements for Requests for Information and formal solicitations.
  • Maintain existing program solutions and assist with rapid technology insertion opportunities for system enhancements and cost reductions.
  • Offer subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Program Office to manage engineering tasks aimed at improving system performance and ensuring interoperability with Marine Corps and other DoD intelligence systems.
  • Analyze technical challenges faced by fielded or developmental systems; propose solutions and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and/or revise plans, architectures, frameworks, policies, procedures, manuals, guides, or strategies documentation.
  • Conduct assessments, analyses, studies, reports, reviews, estimates, surveys, or investigations related to Science and Technology initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in supporting acquisition programs in Systems Engineering, preferably with Marine Corps Systems Command. Additional experience may substitute for formal education. A strong technical background in information systems, networking, and tactical deployment of information systems is essential. Experience in developing prototypes to address new or emerging requirements is required, along with a proven ability to advance technical solutions to TRL level 9 capabilities. Familiarity with Systems Integration and Testing to verify performance is necessary, as well as experience in evaluating change proposals for technical merit and navigating the DoD 5000.2 acquisition framework.

Three (3) years of experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), ISO 9000, or similar processes is required. Experience within the Intelligence Community is also preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification as a Scrum Master, knowledge of DoD/USMC environments, and prior military intelligence experience (enlisted or officer) are advantageous.

Clearance Requirements:

Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $121,800-$204,100, with various factors influencing the final salary, including contract wage determination, relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
