ManTech is looking for a Systems Engineer III to support the Marine Corps Systems Command, focusing on Program Manager Intelligence Systems. This role involves assisting in the research, development, acquisition, and maintenance of cutting-edge tactical intelligence collection, processing, and dissemination equipment, as well as ground electronic warfare (EW) systems.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be instrumental in executing engineering tasks throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise in the research and development of advanced hardware and software solutions to meet existing and emerging requirements.
  • Support acquisition efforts by developing technical requirements for Requests for Information and formal solicitations.
  • Ensure the sustainment of existing program solutions.
  • Assist with Rapid Technology Insertion opportunities to enhance system performance and reduce costs.
  • Offer subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Program Office to manage engineering tasks aimed at improving system performance and interoperability between Marine Corps and other DoD intelligence systems.
  • Analyze technical challenges encountered with fielded or developmental systems; propose solutions and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and modify plans, architectures, frameworks, policies, procedures, manuals, guides, or strategies documentation.
  • Conduct assessments, analyses, studies, reports, reviews, estimates, surveys, or investigations related to Science and Technology efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience supporting acquisition programs in Systems Engineering, preferably with Marine Corps Systems Command. Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.

Strong technical background in information systems, networking, and tactical application of information systems.

Experience in developing prototypes to address new or emerging needs/requirements.

Proven ability to advance technical solutions to TRL level 9 capabilities.

Experience with Systems Integration and Testing to verify required performance.

Assessment of change proposals for technical merit.

Familiarity with the DoD 5000.2 Acquisition framework.

Three (3) years of experience with Capability Maturity Model integration (CMMI), ISO 9000, or similar processes.

Experience in the Intelligence Community is preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • DAWIA Certification
  • Knowledge of DoD/USMC environments.
  • Prior military intelligence experience (enlisted or officer).

Clearance Requirements:

Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $121,800-$204,100, influenced by factors such as relevant work experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
