We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Director of Business Development and Growth to collaborate with program and technical personnel in the successful capture of new business opportunities in the DoD and adjacent marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate efforts across the company to identify, shape, qualify, and capture opportunities focused on the US Army and US Marine Corps.
- Develop competitive intelligence, perform gap analyses, and develop teaming strategies to drive business growth.
- Build, develop, and foster relationships with agency decision-makers, stakeholders, industry partners, consultants, and influencers to pursue and win new opportunities.
- Engage in industry events and serve as liaison for memberships and event participation.
- Prepare and execute approved engagement strategy, including conferences, in line with the corporate fiscal year.
- Conduct market research and analysis of the latest trends in funding and mission priorities across the target agencies.
- Provide capture strategy guidance and actively engage/support proposal efforts.
- Coordinate priorities and resources between multiple opportunities, align consultants and teaming partners to support capture and proposal activities.
- Current Secret clearance desired.
- Bachelor's degree, business or engineering (preferred) or a related discipline.
- 10+ years well-rounded experience conducting business development activities.
- Demonstrated success and proven, sustained ability and reputation of winning contract awards.
- Advanced knowledge of business development standards and best practices.
- Comfortable using SharePoint, GovWinIQ, and standard business development tools.
- Knowledge of the Defense acquisition processes, procedures, and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and existing contracts within the US Army PEOs at Fort Belvoir and Aberdeen Proving Ground and Marine Corps Systems Command.
- Experience interacting with and briefing government and industry leaders.
- Ability to excel in a team environment and inspire a highly dedicated and talented group of professionals to win.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
- Experience in managing multiple opportunities at all stages of the pipeline lifecycle.
