Job Overview

Ariel Partners is in search of a Senior Software Engineer to provide development support for our ongoing projects. This role involves working closely with our software development teams to enhance the DMSS program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software solutions utilizing MS Visual Studio for C#.NET.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications, ensuring system integration and compatibility.
  • Assist in software testing as necessary, including the creation of automated test scripts using tools like NUnit and SpecFlow.
  • Engage with essential stakeholders, including project management, business analysts, and testing teams.
  • Promote continuous innovation by applying best practices to enhance technology tools and processes, thereby improving team efficiency.
  • Contribute to project deliverables and performance metrics as applicable.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing software with MS Visual Studio for C#.NET.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software application issues and resolve integration and compatibility challenges.
  • Experience in software testing, including the development of automated test scripts.
  • Effective interaction with stakeholders, including project management and business analysts.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through best practices in technology tools and processes.
  • Ability to contribute to deliverables and performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with WinForms, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework, VB.NET, C++, XML, LINQ, SQL Database platforms, MSBuild, PowerShell, and InstallShield.
  • Understanding of engineering modeling languages, such as ER diagrams and UML Sequence diagrams.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in writing and reviewing automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, or Hudson.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as NUnit and SpecFlow.
  • Familiarity with Requirements Management tools like TFS.
