Key Responsibilities
- Follow established procedures to uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of guest rooms and common areas.
- Efficiently remove and replace soiled linens and towels, make beds, and clean bathroom and vanity spaces.
- Greet guests warmly, maintain positive interactions, and address guest requests appropriately.
- Restock and manage cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities in assigned guest rooms.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for designated surfaces in compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with front desk personnel regarding room status, maintenance needs, lost items, and any discrepancies.
- Inspect room fixtures and report any operational issues to maintenance and front desk staff.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel data.
- Work in various physical conditions and exert physical effort in handling cleaning equipment and transporting supplies (up to 50 lbs).
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
- Provide additional services to guests upon request.
- Adjust heating and cooling systems as needed.
- Conduct self-inspections of rooms and accept feedback from management and trained staff.
- Participate in cross-training for laundry, maintenance, or front desk roles as required.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service is preferred.
- Some administrative tasks may be required (e.g., timekeeping, reports on rooms cleaned).
- Must present a professional appearance in the provided uniform and maintain a friendly demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Frequent lifting and bending are necessary.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Working Environment
- The physical environment may involve working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Interaction with pets may occur. Personal protective equipment is necessary to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials. Regular hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with schedules varying based on operational needs.
Physical Demands
- While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to communicate effectively. Frequent standing, walking, and using hands for tasks are essential. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. Employees must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Qualifications:- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be 17 years or older.
- Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.
