We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual who possesses a strong passion for sales to join our expanding sales team.

The Inside Sales Representative will be based at our office and will play a vital role in supporting the sales team by preparing customer quotes and bid documents, processing customer requests, addressing and directing customer inquiries, and providing technical support. This role is essential in nurturing existing relationships and fostering new ones through exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for a designated group of manufacturer sales representatives, providing support, training, and assistance in driving sales for American Wire Group.
  • Execute various administrative tasks within the sales team, ensuring meticulous organization and completion of all activities.
  • Prepare customer quotes and bid proposals effectively.
  • Assist in closing sales and meeting quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain and expand existing business relationships, surpassing sales goals set by management.
  • Build strong relationships with sales representatives and customers, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Occasionally reach out to prospective and current customers through cold calls and emails.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, including order status updates, quote follow-ups, and inventory checks.
  • Gather and report competitive pricing and information.
  • Support senior management with additional tasks and projects as needed.
  • Assist the project team with data entry and extraction tasks.
  • Help the sales team with processing customer documents, including quotes and purchase orders.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Experience in the wire and cable or electrical distribution industry is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent negotiation, customer service, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and goal-driven, with a proven ability to meet targets.
  • Exceptional organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with Sales Managers and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data reporting and quotations.
  • Bi-lingual or bi-literate in Spanish is a plus.
