Vendor Relationship Manager III

The Vendor Relationship Manager III is a critical role at L.A. Care Health Plan, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders. This position serves as the primary point of contact for vendors, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to drive mutual success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain positive vendor relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct regular vendor meetings and business reviews to evaluate and enhance vendor performance.
- Manage vendor performance, including contract reviews, compliance, and risk management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor strategies align with business objectives.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with vendors to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and department interns as needed.
- At least 5 years of vendor relationship experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
- Highly proficient in contract reviews, with a strong attention to detail to ensure contracts align with company requirements.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Understanding of financial concepts, cost structures, and budgeting, with the ability to analyze vendor pricing and terms.
- 2+ years of claims experience.
- Working EDI knowledge.
