Job Summary:

LIFE Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and security of patient health information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate medical records for compliance with documentation and licensing requirements set forth by regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient health information in electronic and paper records.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical records management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve medical records-related issues.
  • Provide training and support to staff on medical records policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in software tools such as Power Bi, SharePoint, Excel, and EHR software.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, post HS training preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience with medical records or healthcare-related clerical duties.
  • Prior EHR experience required.
