Position Overview
The individual in this role will be the key figure responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of both electronic and paper medical records within designated Adult Day Health Centers. This includes assessing these records to ensure they comply with the documentation and licensing standards established by relevant authorities, including the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
This position encompasses a variety of administrative and technical responsibilities aimed at safeguarding the accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality of patient health information.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate medical records for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage both electronic and paper documentation effectively.
- Ensure the security and accessibility of patient information.
Qualifications
Proficiency in software applications such as Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, EHR systems, and other relevant tools is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, along with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as is the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance are required. A High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary, with post-secondary training preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in medical records or healthcare-related administrative duties is expected, along with prior experience in EHR systems.
