Job Summary

The California Community Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team. As a key partner to our Compliance team, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reconciling direct and indirect expenses for government grant programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance: Prepare and analyze financial reporting packages for government grant programs, ensuring accurate and timely recording of contribution revenue.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and distribute financial statements, department budgets, and other financial reports as needed, providing complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Taxation: Prepare supporting documentation for tax return preparation, including Form 990 and 990-T.
  • Audit: Prepare audit schedules and provide support for the foundation's year-end financial audit.
  • Cross Training: Train staff on tasks and provide backup for other finance staff, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects assigned by senior management, leveraging your skills and expertise to drive results.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in Finance/Accounting, with a preference for non-profit experience.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite and database software, with a willingness to learn new systems.
