Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst (Enterprise Financial Services)

Location: Remote - US

Contract Duration: 6+ month contract

Compensation: $60-65/hr

Work Eligibility: US Citizens, Green Card Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

In this role, under general supervision, you will leverage specialized knowledge and skills acquired through education and experience to develop methodologies for cost allocation, lead the cost allocation process, and analyze the impact of these allocations on financial statements. You will be responsible for making informed decisions in varied and complex accounting functions. Your ability to evaluate, innovate, and apply original thinking will be essential in addressing situations that require deviation from standard procedures. You will also resolve moderately complex issues while maintaining regular communication with senior management and internal stakeholders to identify, investigate, and resolve cost allocation challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead departmental teams to gather job-related insights ensuring comprehensive information is considered.
  • Identify costs and formulate methodologies for precise allocation across the organization.
  • Prepare organization-wide surveys utilizing various financial tools and resources, and present findings to management.
  • Generate management reports in a format conducive to quick review by leadership.
  • Assess, evaluate, and implement process enhancements as necessary.
  • Review and assess proposals for additional controls to refine internal trade clearing procedures and methodologies for analyzing trade activities and associated processing costs.
  • Coordinate the cost allocation process for the annual budgeting cycle.
  • Assist in month-end profit and loss post-closing procedures.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper classification and data integrity.
  • Identify potential impacts of new departments, subsidiaries, products, and other changes on job responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced understanding of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accrual-based accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with accounting software packages.
  • Expertise in advanced cost allocation concepts and practices.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to allocate costs and assess their impact on financial statements.
  • Competence in preparing surveys and analyzing financial data.
  • Proficiency in performing mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with standard office equipment and software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance, coupled with a minimum of three (3) years of internal accounting experience.
