Position Title: Financial Operations Specialist

Position Summary: We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Financial Operations Specialist to become a vital part of our finance department. In this role, you will be tasked with examining financial data, facilitating financial operations, and enhancing processes to guarantee efficiency and precision. Your responsibilities will include performing financial analysis, generating reports, and working closely with various departments to optimize operations and meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis, encompassing variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to aid in decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by gathering data, creating reports, and evaluating financial performance.
  • Oversee financial transactions and processes, ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Spot opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies, proposing and executing solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams including finance, operations, and IT to improve financial systems and reporting functionalities.
  • Generate and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Engage in projects related to system upgrades, process automation, and integration of financial data.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliation and preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial procedures, policies, and controls to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling, and data interpretation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting analyses and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
