Position Overview

This role is essential in supervising and guaranteeing the precision and prompt completion of the organization's financial and accounting obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and review of fund, property, and operational financial statements.
  • Calculate management fees and performance incentives.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notifications.
  • Monitor and forecast cash requirements.
  • Oversee audits for various entities and investments.
  • Collaborate with tax professionals to coordinate tax submissions.
  • Investigate developments in tax and accounting regulations.
  • Track and assess portfolio investments.
  • Review and monitor debt covenants with financial institutions.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the asset valuation process.
  • Resolve finance and accounting challenges.
  • Handle ad hoc requests as needed.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution is required.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a private equity, hedge fund, fund administration, or auditing environment (preferably with alternative investment funds or financial services firms), OR
  • At least 3 years at a Big 4 or second-tier regional CPA firm managing full-cycle accounting and supporting documentation.
Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an accounting and finance examination is required.
  • CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, especially in fund and partnership accounting.
