About the Role

The University of Southern California is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting/Projects Manager to join its Finance Division. This is a key role that will provide technical systems support for Anaplan and contribute to the development of financial planning and reporting strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial reports and analyses to support business and financial planning. Evaluate and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Project Management: Plan, design, develop, and implement strategic and complex short- and long-term projects of a financial or business nature. Coordinate and schedule project activities to meet objectives.
  • Financial Consulting: Provide internal financial consulting services and advise on complex or technical financial issues. Serve as a key resource on financial projects and interface with faculty and/or staff as necessary.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enhance financial operating and administrative policies and procedures. Direct the dissemination, interpretation, and application of financial or administrative policies and procedures.
  • System Development: Develop, enhance, and maintain automated or manual systems and procedures to facilitate and support financial operations. Ensure that internal systems complement university-wide systems.
  • Liaison and Representation: Liaise with all financial departments within the university and represent the department and/or university as an authority in the field.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of directly related management experience. In-depth Anaplan model builder expertise is required.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of and experience in financial analysis and reporting. Knowledge of computer simulation and forecasting techniques.
