Job Overview


The Senior Vice President, Client Solutions & Planning is responsible for overseeing a significant integrated account across various channels, ensuring comprehensive media and client leadership.

This role requires the individual to provide strategic guidance, presenting integrated media solutions that address client business challenges while acting as a trusted advisor to senior clients, fostering trust and influence to enhance the overall team and client relationship.

The successful candidate will possess a profound understanding of all facets of the client's business, as well as the broader media landscape, encompassing both traditional and digital media planning and execution, alongside the data and technology requirements for effective, data-driven modern media.

The Senior Vice President promotes collaboration and innovative thinking both internally and with clients. This individual is accountable for the financial success of the account and plays a key role in agency initiatives and growth.



Key Responsibilities:
• Lead senior client relationships for one of dentsu X's most significant media accounts.

• Champion and deeply understand the client's business and industry, using this insight to establish strategic direction and guide the development of planning objectives and strategies for various client business lines that align with marketing goals.

• Analyze research and leverage extensive multi-channel media planning and execution expertise to provide insights, strategic thinking, and thought leadership that effectively translates marketing objectives into clear media strategies and innovative ideas.

• Cultivate team and company culture, demonstrating accountability for media performance and client satisfaction.

• Build trusted advisor relationships with senior clients, including those at the CMO level.

• Stay informed about new partners, technologies, data opportunities, and capabilities in the marketing sector, while developing and maintaining senior relationships with media partners to access, shape, and deliver groundbreaking ideas and opportunities to clients.

• Foster collaborative and trusted relationships with agency experts across media activation, analytics, technology, strategy, investment, and other disciplines to provide integrated, data-driven media that achieves client business outcomes.

• Convert business challenges and media strategies into actionable solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to derive actionable insights from media performance data for continuous plan optimization.

• Understand the range of dentsu X service offerings and resources across the agency – both within and beyond media – and mobilize these based on client needs to achieve exceptional client business outcomes and organic growth opportunities for the agency.

• Hold teams accountable to dentsu X's principles and standards, connecting executive management viewpoints and agency vision with the practical realities of day-to-day account operations.

• Manage and mentor director-level team members, providing active coaching and career development.

• Accurately represent the client's perspective when reviewing work, leveraging this viewpoint and strong communication skills to foster clear, compelling, and persuasive storytelling and presentations to clients.

• Actively represent dentsu X media within the industry by attending industry functions and participating in local market committees, where applicable.

• Understand agency financial operating models and contribute to contract development, financial performance oversight, staff plan management, and overall account health.

• Help establish and maintain communication processes and workflows with clients and agency service teams to promote transparent collaboration, communication, and prioritization.

• Occasionally participate in and/or contribute to agency new business opportunities.
