Position Overview:

The Vice President of Operations will be instrumental in managing the daily operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience within the manufacturing sector, demonstrating a proven ability to oversee operations effectively. This role will focus on ensuring operational efficiency, fostering process enhancements, and supporting the strategic goals of the company to boost overall performance and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight:

  • Formulate and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
  • Supervise all facets of manufacturing operations, including production, quality assurance, supply chain management, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to establish strategic goals and drive business expansion.

2. Process Enhancement and Innovation:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Champion innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies to sustain a competitive advantage.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational success.

3. Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations across all operational activities.
  • Oversee quality assurance initiatives to uphold high product standards.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational challenges.

4. Leadership and Team Development:

  • Guide and mentor a diverse team of operations professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Design training and development programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Encourage collaboration and communication across departments to achieve operational objectives.

5. Financial Oversight:

  • Effectively manage operational budgets and resources to maximize profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures for cost control.
  • Work alongside the CFO to align financial and operational strategies.

6. Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of the company’s strategic plan.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets for potential expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of leadership experience in the manufacturing sector, with at least 5 years in a senior operational management role.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in operational management software and ERP systems.
  • Able to drive change and innovation in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with ASME code and ISO certification.
