Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the Capenhurst site. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of risk across various operational sectors, ensuring alignment with our enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Register Development: Create and maintain a detailed Risk Register for the Capenhurst site, integrating it within the broader Urenco ERM framework.
- Implementation of Risk Framework: Lead the deployment of the risk management framework throughout the organization, including conducting risk assessments and guiding management in risk reporting.
- Risk Monitoring: Establish a systematic program for regular updates on risk management practices, ensuring proactive mitigation and continuous improvement.
- Risk Analysis: Analyze outcomes from risk assessments to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing site-wide risk management strategies.
- Business Continuity Planning: Develop and oversee strategies to ensure business continuity and resilience against potential disruptions.
- Performance Metrics: Design and track performance indicators to objectively assess risk management effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a robust safety culture that aligns risk management with the highest safety standards.
Collaboration and Engagement:
Work collaboratively with various teams, including Audit and Organizational Learning, to assess risks and share insights. Engage with the global risk community to align practices and share knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with professional qualifications or significant experience in risk management.
- Desirable certification in Enterprise Risk Management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience in risk management within regulated industries such as energy or chemicals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
