The Client Relationship Manager engages with both current clients and potential customers within a designated region to deliver exceptional service and drive sales growth by collaborating with external partners to secure coverage options not available through HAI Group offerings.
This role involves assessing various insurance programs, eligibility criteria, and pricing structures to identify the most suitable insurance solutions for the client's needs and risks.
Responsibilities include comprehensive account management for clients in the assigned area, encompassing new business acquisition, renewal assessments, negotiations, policy inquiries, coverage evaluations, and billing questions.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate customer-centric initiatives and oversee accounts and designated clients.
- Conduct renewal processes, sales, and cross-selling efforts; evaluate eligibility, risk exposures, inspection findings, loss history, and other relevant data to determine the best insurance solutions.
- Analyze the performance of current market pricing and coverage; negotiate rates or premiums in line with established underwriting authority.
- Comply with eligibility standards, underwriting protocols, and agency agreements of insurance partners, executing rate plans responsibly within the guidelines of the authorizing insurer.
- Build and maintain external relationships with reputable companies that exhibit strong capacity and excellent customer service. Act as a liaison to support internal operations, providing necessary assistance, research, and support to the Underwriting department.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned coverage areas and lines of business.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring efficient workflows.
- Customer-focused mindset, with the initiative to address agency and client needs.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; able to articulate ideas clearly to clients.
- Adept at handling multiple and shifting priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial lines service within an insurance company or agency operations.
- Possession of a resident producer license.
- Ability to obtain licensure in all 50 states.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 3 trips annually).
- Experience with agency management systems is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Office setting with climate control.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and using a computer.
