We are currently in search of a Service Technician Supervisor to play a pivotal role within our manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the Service Technicians in the assembly department, requiring a robust background in leadership, diesel mechanics, and automotive electronics. Reporting directly to the Assembly Manager, this role is essential for maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive training and support to Service Technicians within the assembly department.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Engage in the hiring process and manage coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to ensure prompt troubleshooting of chassis and truck issues.
- Lead and mentor the Service Technician team, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and to high standards.
- Assist in training personnel on the installation of electrical control systems for equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and rework performed by Service Technicians in Epicor.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and service centers for repair and service tasks.
- Work alongside the engineering department on necessary modifications.
- Stay updated on technical and chassis software advancements.
- Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety regulations.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in planning and implementing effective changes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of multitasking and working with urgency and minimal supervision.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Payroll, and Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company policies.
