We are currently in search of a Service Technician Supervisor to play a pivotal role within our manufacturing division. This individual will oversee the Service Technicians in the Mounting department, bringing forth expertise in leadership, diesel mechanics, and automotive electronics. Reporting directly to the Mounting Manager, this position is integral to our operations.
Your Responsibilities:- Deliver training and guidance to Service Technicians within the Mounting department.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance assessments.
- Engage in the recruitment process and manage coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations in alignment with company policies.
- Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to ensure prompt resolution of chassis and truck issues.
- Lead and direct the Service Technician team, ensuring efficient task execution and adherence to high standards.
- Assist in training personnel on the installation of electrical control systems for equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Maintain comprehensive records of repairs and rework executed by Service Technicians in Epicor.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and service centers for repair and service operations.
- Work alongside the engineering department on necessary modifications.
- Stay updated on technical and chassis software advancements.
- Ensure all tasks performed comply with company standards and safety regulations.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in planning and executing effective change.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of multitasking and working with urgency under minimal supervision.
- Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Payroll, and Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company policies.
