PC Systems Analyst 2

Job Summary

The PC Systems Analyst 2 (PCSA2) operates under the general guidance of team leadership to provide ongoing support for end-user environments, including personal computers (PCs and Macs), PDAs, and associated peripherals.

This role involves independently researching and resolving hardware and software issues, responding to client inquiries, and addressing only the most complex challenges.

The PCSA2 is responsible for correcting hardware and software malfunctions, maintaining service logs, monitoring problem/change activities, and coordinating the involvement of staff, clients, and vendors to ensure effective resolution of user issues.


Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:


HARDWARE/SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE:

Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software products, ensuring internet and network connectivity for PCs, Macs, PDAs, and peripherals. Implement and monitor standards and procedures, facilitate backup and recovery, and maintain service logs.


USER SUPPORT:

Provide comprehensive support to users via telephone, face-to-face interactions, and online platforms.


BUSINESS NEEDS ANALYSIS:

Analyze customer procedures, organize departmental resources, and lead the design, development, and implementation of effective solutions. Monitor the progress of corrective actions to prevent unnecessary delays.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with three years of related experience, or a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with five years of relevant experience.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software/databases; extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and internet/network connectivity.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills.

Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality, work effectively within a team, analyze problems, and implement solutions. Strong time management skills and the ability to develop collaborative working relationships are essential.


Work Environment

This position requires working days, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working outside of normal business hours.
